How does the fate of the stepmother and stepsister in Yeh Shen differ from the Perrault version? Which ending do you like better and why?

In cinderella, cinderella forgives and brings the step sisters and step mother to the castle but they don't deserve it. In Yeh-Shen  the step mother and step sister die from falling rocks and they diserved it because she was mean.So I think Yeh-Shen is better.

I like the Yeh-Shen verision better because the stepmother and sister were mean and died in a shower of stones ,which they deserved.They were different because in the French verision  the stepmother has two daughters and didn't die.They get to go to the palace to live with Cinderella  and te prince.In Yeh-Shen there is only one stepsister and they were mean so the king would not permit Yeh-Shen to bring them to the palace.It was fun to read a different Cinderella story.I thought it was interesting to read a Chinese verision.

  The ending in Yeh-shen is different because the prince doesn't let the step mother and sister come with Yeh-shen.They remain in their cave and eventualy get crushed by falling rocks.In the Perrault variant Cinderella is pemited to bring her step mother and sisters.I like the Perrault variant better because I like happy endings better.
