Nayatt School Art Alive begins this week. Watch for emails and updates from Arts Alive. This activity is held at Nayatt School, but not run by the staff at Nayatt. Communication about rehearsals will come from the Nayatt PTO and Arts Alive. Rehearsals are Tuesday and Thursday this week. Those who are to attend will be contacted. Students should have a snack. They will be picked up and brought to the Multi-Purpose Room by the Nayatt PTO Arts Alive liasons.
This past Thursday, the students participated in our November Town Meeting hosted by Ms. Muccino and Mrs. Sargeant. The students in Grade 3 lead the meeting. There was a patriotic sing along of It's a Grand Old Flag in honor of Veteran's Day and other sing alongs with Mrs. DeFanti's Kindergarten students and the students who work with Mrs. Sargeant leading other songs. Agustine Velasco welcomed the Kindergarten through third grade students to the meeting by playing the piano. Jaime Bromberg and Maggie Ornstedt were the clap masters, Zoe Hatjapolous, Tripp Spencer, Michael Leveque, Daniel Monsour and other third grade leaders kept the activities and learning moving, including Mrs. Milman's Kindergarteners who made a video about how to be "safe" in the cafeteria. Earlier in the day, the students worked with Ms. Muccino to organize the food items for TAP IN into groups of ten. We collected 837 so far and hope to get up to 1,000 by Monday morning before PTO Volunteers deliver them to TAP IN. We appreciate all of the help and support from the Nayatt families in providing food baskets for families in need this Thanksgiving.
