We hope that you are all safe and warm. The school grounds are cleared and ready to go for school tomorrow. Students should be dressed to go out for recess.
Last Thursday, February 28th, the School Committee accepted the retirement of Mrs. Karen Sargeant, the music teacher for Nayatt School. She dedicated many years and lots of talent to the Barrington Public Schools. We wish her well in her future endeavors. She will be missed. Mrs. Berberick, her long term substitute will remain in the position at Nayatt School for the rest of the school year.
Please check out the information below on upcoming events and needs.
This month the school community will be participating in the RI Department of Education Survey Works Survey for parents, students in grade 3, staff, teachers, and administrators. The surveys capture and assess information that helps educators understand and act upon what students, teachers, support professionals, administrators and parents say about the climate, culture, and learning environment at Nayatt School.
The surveys are developed by a research team at Harvard, led by Dr. Hunter Gehlbach and Dr. Karen Mapp. The results are used by the School Committee, Central Office Administration, building level leaders, PTOs, and School Improvement teams to continuously improve our schools.
We thank you in advance for your participation. Parents can access the survey at https://surveys.panoramaed.com/ride/login. The access code for parents is 01104family.
Have a great week!
