Thank you for your support of our Pennies for Patients Campaign last school year, sponsored by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS). Nayatt always does an amazing job with this event. We are running Pennies this year from May 1 – May 22, 2019.
Pennies is a service-learning program that gives students the unique experience of working together to help raise awareness and funds in honor of thousands of children and adults fighting blood cancers. Our Grade 3 students and their teachers lead this event annually at Nayatt School.
Leukemia is one of the leading fatal cancers of children ages 1 – 20. The 5-year survival rate for children under the age of 20 with the most common form of leukemia (ALL) went from 3% in the 1960s to over 90% today.
Every day we are getting closer to finding cures for all blood cancers!
Join our Hero Squad! Our goal is to raise $3,000 and WE NEED YOUR HELP! We are asking that everyone (students, faculty, parents, alumni, etc.) at Nayatt School join in this effort of raising awareness and giving funds to benefit the mission of LLS. Share this link with your family and friends.

Thank you for your time and attention.
At PTO last Wednesday, May 1st, Mrs Bertoncini presented ways parents can support their child’s interaction with technology in appropriate ways. She shared information about how to monitor Youtube and other popular student sites. Please feel free to contact Mrs. Bertoncini if you have questions or need advice. She is a valuable resource for students, staff, and teachers with her Common Sense Media training and tools. We appreciate all she does for our learning community.
Have a great week!
