Happy Diwali to all of our Nayatt families who celebrated this festival of light over darkness, of good over evil, and the spreading of love.  Happiness, prosperity, and joy to you and your families.

Important News:

  • Thanksgiving Holiday, Wed., Nov. 25th-Fri. Nov. 27th-No School Students

  • Please let us know if you are traveling for the holiday so we can prepare:  

  • RI requires you to quarantine for 14 days upon your return.  your child will participate in distance learning from the date of return.

  • List of states that require you to quarantine link.

  • RIDOH guidance on COVID/Travel

Dismissal Help:

  • Please post the signs on your windshield visor, with student names and teachers.

Lunch Orders: 

Students will order lunches in their classroom.

Mon.-Nov. 23rd-French toast sticks with sausage or Pizza Bagel Fun Lunch.

Tues.-Nov. 24th-Meatball sub or Pizza Bagel Fun Lunch.

Request from Room Parents:

  • As we plan virtual activities and crafts with your child’s class, school staff are not allowed to provide you with a class list.

  • Please join PTO Office and support our Room Parents and teachers.

Important-Distance Learning Etiquette:

  • Some students are not participating appropriately in Distance Learning and disrupting the learning environment for all.  This will not be tolerated.

  • The teachers will be advised to remove your child if they are not conducting themselves appropriately.

  • A family conference with the teacher and I will be required for their return.

  • Distance Learning Expectations for Your Child

  • This may be helpful to all families to review as students are moving in and out of school with quarantines.

Nayatt Learning Models:

  • Students who are out sick or being monitored for covid symptoms may participate in Distance Learning.

  • Students are not allowed to participate in Distance Learning at random.  This is carefully followed and documented and can be cause for an attendance investigation.

  • Email Mrs. Patota and the classroom teacher so we can mark your child, “virtually present” and make sure they can access the classroom.

  • Students who are on vacation are considered an unexcused absence and are not allowed to participate virtually.

East Bay Food Pantry:

Any family in Eastern RI in need of of food can come to

us for help, free of charge. We are located at 532 Wood St.

in the basement of the Franklin Court Independent Living building.

If families need help for the holidays, anyonewho shops at our Food Pantry in November or December will automaticallyreceive an extra bag with holiday foods. There is no need to sign-up inadvance.  

We will be closed from noon on Wednesday, Nov. 25-Friday, Nov. 27 for Thanksgiving, and we will be closed from 3pm on Wednesday, Dec. 23 through New Year's Day.
