Ask your child about our Mood Boost presentation from Chartwells today.  We tasted Kale Slaw with Jicama.  Kale is a great tasting dark leafy green that does it all.  Its nutrients provide strength to your body and mind.  The character that goes with Kale is pink and confident.  The kids have stickers and many really liked it.  

Mood Boost Recipe:

1TBSP. Sesame Seeds

3OZ.  Baby Kale

3 OZ. Jicama, Peeled and matchstick cut


1/4 TSP. Ground Black Pepper

3 OZ. Mandarin Orange Sections, drained

1 TBPS Canola Oil

1/4 TSP. Kosher salt

1.  Toast sesame seeds in the oven until golden brown and cool at room temperature.

2.  Place kale, jicama, and mandarin orange sections in a bowl.

3.  Add oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper and gently stir to coat all ingredients.

4.  Sprinkle tope with toasted sesame seed.  Serve and enjoy!
