Upcoming Events:

  • Celebrate our fabulous custodian, Mr. John, Saturday, October 2nd, is National Custodian Day!  
  • Let him know how much you appreciate him when you see him at the crosswalk next week.
  • October 6th-Nayatt School Picture Day
  • Photos are taken outdoors with Coffee Pond.  
  • Parents will be able to order online in advance of the day.  For more information click here  Ordering information was sent home this week.
  • Mrs. Othman, our PTO Picture Day Co-Coordinator and her team of parent volunteers will be here on Wednesday to help with Picture Day.  
  • Monday, October 11th-No School Students
  • In our schools, we will be celebrating Indigenous People’s Day.

Staff Updates at Nayatt School:

  • Jaime White has joined our lunch/recess team and we are so happy to have her help and support with our children.
  • Nathalie Bourdier is the CNA assigned to Nayatt to support COVID testing on Friday.
  • Madeline Torres comes to us from RI Skills and will be helping and supporting in our first grade classrooms
  • All of the K-3 schools are in search of interns.  The person needs to be certified as an early childhood educator or an elementary educator.  They work every day subbing in classrooms, working with small groups, and helping with building needs.  The person works from 7:45 AM-2:45 AM.  The job is posted on School Spring RI.
  • The K-3 schools are also in need of substitute teachers.  This can be found on the School Spring site as well.

Feinstein Leadership School Update:

  • This week, our Feinstein Good Deed Journals went home to families.  It includes the Feinstein Jr. Scholar Card which provides free access to the Mystic Aquarium, the carousel at Roger Williams Park and other venues.
  • Students also received their golden tickets in their journals.
  • Each Monday on WPRI Channel 12 at 4:30 PM news, a golden ticket is drawn.
  • Our Nayatt Jr. Scholars could win a $5,000 grant plus other great prizes for their lucky winning ticket holder— plus a chance for those winning ticket holders to be featured in our literature and on television for years to come.

COVID 19 Testing:

  • We tested 99 students at Nayatt today!  Again it was a success and we had no positive cases.
  • Nayatt Consent to Test form for others who may be interested in testing at school.

Chartwell School Lunch Program
School lunches will continue to be provided to all interested students free of charge.
Chartwells Food Services/Lunch Information:
